# About Us

Explora Bioscience Srl, is a new kind of partner for companies developing next-generation advanced-therapy medicinal products (ATMP).

**Advanced therapy medicinal products** (ATMPs) are gene- or cell-based medicines for human use. These new medicines offer groundbreaking opportunities to help patients being treated for disease or recovering from injury. However, ATMPs also pose technical and regulatory challenges in development that increase the risks for companies wanting to bring these products to market.

Explora Bioscienceis able to support customers from the prototype-stage onwards. We are one of the first Contract Research Organisations (CROs) to offer a comprehensive and integrated portfolio of services – from study design to the preclinical validation of ATMPs.

We work with all types of product, including gene therapy, somatic cells, tissue engineered and regenerative medicine, as well as combined ATMPs.

Explora is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 standards by TÜV AUSTRIA CERT. EXPLORA undergoes annual inspection audits and a re-certification audit every three years to demonstrate its compliance with the standard. 

#### Biosecurity

Safety and biosecurity are chief priorities of EXPLORA. In accordance EU guidelines, EXPLORA screens all incoming orders against the IGSC list of select agents. This list is based on sequences identified by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), US Dept of Commerce (USDC), US Dept of Agriculture (USDA), and the Australia Group. We reserve the right to refuse any order.

Our goal is to respect your privacy and to maintain the confidentiality of any information that you share with us. Data from your transmission will be added to our customer database in order to process the request and to provide progress updates.
